After four years as an assistant professor at Winthrop University, I came back to Texas in 2014 to take on a new challenge with The College at Southwestern as they develop a new minor in literature. My PhD in Discourse Studies is from Texas A&M University.
Because I see my research and teaching interests as closely related, I often use my teaching to fuel my research, which then enriches my teaching. These interests include new media, professional writing, qualitative research in the classroom, and composition pedagogy. I am teaching Social Media & the Christian Life this spring (2017) for the first time at the college.
